The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Allocates Additional ₴1.9 Billion for Drone Procurement via DOT-Chain Defence

The Ministry of Defence has authorized an additional ₴1.9 billion for the acquisition of drones and related items through DOT-Chain Defence. Fifty more brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been onboarded, bringing the total number of units using the system to 180.

In the first three months of operation, DOT-Chain Defence delivered nearly 100,000 drones to Ukrainian forces, with a total value of ₴3.74 billion.  The average delivery time for in-stock drones is 10 days.

DOT-Chain Defence turns budget into tangible frontline results in a controlled and accountable way. When units define their own needs and the system ensures transparent execution, additional resources are immediately put to work. We see every hryvnia working to strengthen the force,” said Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA).

The Cabinet of Ministers has recently approved the rollout of DOT-Chain Defence to the National Guard of Ukraine. Under the ‘Army of Drones Bonus’ program, all units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine are now being equipped via the system.

The DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace was developed by the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) and is now being used to ensure timely delivery of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The system brings brigades, manufacturers, and the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) into a single secure environment. This setup allows units to choose the specific nomenclature items they need, while DPA handles all administrative tasks — from contract signing to payment. For the soldier, getting the required equipment takes just a few clicks.

DOT-Chain Defence operates alongside other supply programs and serves as an additional channel for delivering drones.
